Every once in a while I get into one of those super duper, down in the dumps ultimate funks where I just don’t know what to do… I cry, yell, scream, curl into a ball and stuff my head under a pile of pillows. And then I still feel bad!
I think we all get the blues sometimes.
So I recently came up with a list! It’s an incredible life saving list of things that help bring me up to the sky when I’m feeling lower than low. I have practiced it over and over, and it usually only takes a few things on this list to bring my spirits from sucky, worst feelings ever to a feeling of okay, things are just fine… and there is a definite world of difference between those feelings! So I’m going to share my list, and I encourage you to make one too! 🙂
How to Kick the Blues to the Curb
- go outside with the trees for at least 10 minutes
- take a relaxing bath w/ lavender and sandalwood
- focus on breathing
- take a yoga break
- go to the woods and TRIBAL SCREAM as loud as I can
- sing one of my songs and sing it loud
- spend time in the garden
- let the sun shine on my face
- have a cup of tea
And here’s a little song I wrote –
“Sometimes I don’t know what to do,
I don’t know what to,

I look up to the sky,
See the clouds flying by,
They know just what to do. Yes they do.”
